Released June 2006 Champions of the Force was the fifth set of Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Miniatures game, it introduced the old republic and sithfactions, and mainly takes place during the Great Hyperspace War and Sith War of the star wars timeline but overall covers all eras of the star wars universe. Includes figures like luke skywalker and Exar Kun as well as Dark jedi.

The set also includes figures from all areas and also introduces two new factions, Old Republic and Sith. The Yuuzhan Vong are not included in this set.

Several new powers are added with this set. Lightsabers may now be thrown by some characters. Force alter can make an enemy within 6 squares reroll its last attack. sithHatred deals a specified amount of damage to all enemy characters within 6 squares and is not considered as an attack, thereby not requiring an attack roll. 
Many of these new powers will definitely change the game and how it is played.
